Apple Tower

Objective: To stack 3-5 apples into a tower that will stand for three seconds
Materials: 3-5 apples per participant

Rules: When the time starts each person needs to try to stack 3 apples for younger children and 5 apples for older participants. Apples are challenging to stack because of the natural shape of the apples. The stack of apples needs to stand in a tower for three seconds to win.



Balancing Dice

Objective: To stack as many dice as possible onto a large popsicle stick
Materials: Many dice, large popsicle stick

Rules: When the time starts hold the large popsicle stick in one hand. Then pick up the dice one at a time and place them onto the popsicle stick. Keep balance and keep stacking. Whoever can stack the most wins.



Ball Drop

Objective: To toss three balls into a cup
Materials: Medium sized cup, three ping pong balls per player

Rules: Stand on a chair and try to drop the ping pong balls into the cup. If one misses or bounces out you need to retrieve the ball, stand on the chair again and try to drop them into the cup. Once someone gets all three into their cup they win.



Balloon Holding Contest

Objective: To hold as many balloons as possible for one minute
Material: Numerous balloons

Rules: Have the guests hold as many balloons as they think is possible without them touching the ground. At the end of the minute count how many balloons they have in the air. The guest with the most balloons wins. Consider this being an individual challenge so guests can cheer on their opponents.



Bottle to Bottle

Objective: To transfer items from one bottle to another
Materials: Two 2 liter soda bottles, cereal or small candy, tape for each player

Rules: To set up, fill one 2 liter bottle with either cereal or candy. Then tape the other 2 liter bottle to the top of the first. Each player has their own bottle tower. When the time begins they flip over their bottle and try to transfer as much of the contents from one bottle to the other. Whoever transfers the most wins.



Bubble Blowing Contest

Objective: To see how big or how many bubbles they can blow against the clock.
Players: 3 or more
Materials: Store bought bubble soap, dish soap mixed with water, or bubble making wands

Rules: Players blow as many bubbles as they can in 30 seconds. The honor system will have to work here because no one will be able to count all the bubbles. Declare a winner. Next try blowing the biggest bubble but only allow another 30 seconds. For the largest bubble contest try using coat hangers. You just need a large container to hold the soap and water mixture. This is a little easier to judge and of course the player with the largest bubble wins. Continue playing until everyone has blown enough bubbles or you are out of bubble mixture.



Chandelier

Objective: To make the largest chandelier
Materials: Empty soda cans, paper plates

Rules: With a dozen soda cans and 4 paper plates, how tall of a tower or chandelier can you make within a minute.



Chopstick Cheerios

Objective: To move as many Cheerios from one bowl to another by using a set of chopsticks
Materials: Chopsticks, 2 bowls and cheerios (for each player)

Rules: Each player will have two bowls in front of them, one with cheerios and one without. At the signal they will pick up their chopsticks and see how many cheerios they can move from one bowl to the other within a minute. They are not able to use their hands or will be disqualified. The player with the most cheerios moved into their new bowl will win.



Cookie Stack

Objective: To stack cookies on your forehead
Materials: Cookies

Rules: When the time starts, begin stacking cookies on your forehead. Stack as many as possible with one hand. If the tower starts to topple you can not stop it with your hand. Whoever has the tallest tower wins.



Cotton What?

Objective: While blindfolded players try to transfer as many cotton balls from one bowl to another using only a spoon.
Players: 4 or more
Materials: Blindfolds, cotton balls, 2 bowls per player, spoons

Rules: Blindfold participants. 2 at a time is best. Place two bowls in front of each player, one filled with about 20 or more cotton balls and the other is empty. When you say go, players will then try to transfer as many cotton balls from the first bowl to the second bowl in the time allotted. 30 sec to 1 min is best. The most cotton balls moved from bowl to bowl wins.



Cup Stacking

Objective: To stack cups into a pyramid and then collect them again into a single stack
Materials: 36 cups per person

Rules: When the time begins, as quickly as you can stack all the 36 cups into a pyramid and then collapse the pyramid and restack the cups. There are many quick ways to stack and restack so younger players may need a couple tries to figure out the moves.



Elephant Trunk

Objective: To knock over some cups using your elephant trunk
Materials: Nylons, socks, plastic cups, tape

Rules: Put a pair of socks at the bottom of a pair of nylons. Tie the nylons around your forehead like a bandana. Place 6 cups faced down on their marked place (mark with painters tape). When the time starts swing your elephant trunk and try to knock over the cups. The player who knocks over the most cups in the minute wins this version of minute to win it party games.



Hex Tower

Objective: To stack the most hex nuts
Materials: Lots of hex nuts

Rules: With one hand try to stack as many hex nuts as possible. If you want to make this more challenging use a chopstick or small dowel to lift and move the stack nuts.



Hot Chocolate Marshmallow Toss

Objective: To toss as many marshmallows into a mug as possible
Materials: Small marshmallows, bowl and a mug

Rules: Each player gets a bowl of small marshmallows and one mug. When the time begins the player is going to try to toss as many marshmallows into their mug as possible. At the end of the time count to see how many made it into the mug. The player with the most marshmallows wins.



Junk in the Trunk

Objective: To empty your kleenex box first
Materials: Empty kleenex box, tie or nylons, 10 ping pong balls items for each player

Rules: Place all ten ping pong balls into your empty kleenex box. Then tie the kleenex box around your waist (have the tie or nylons go through the box to tie tightly above your waist). Have the kleenex box above your bottom. When the game begins you need to shake your body, especially your bottom to try to remove all of the ping pong balls. The first person to remove all the ping pong balls wins.



Move it Up

Objective: To move a colored cup to the top of a stack of cups the quickest
Materials: A stack of cups (1 a unique color, the rest the same color)

Rules: Start with all the cups stacked in a single tower. The unique colored cup is on the bottom of the stack. Move one cup at a time from the top of the tower to the bottom, this will move the unique colored cup up one spot with each movement. Keep repeating this movement. Whoever gets their unique colored cup to the top of their stack first wins this verion of minute to win it party games.



Ninja Stars

Objective: To throw and stick playing cards into a watermelon
Materials: Watermelon, playing cards

Rules: To prepare for this game you need to cut a watermelon in half. Then you need to prop the watermelon onto its side so the red section is facing the tosser. When the timer begins the tosser will throw a playing card like a ninja star. If it is tossed with enough force it will penetrate the watermelon and stick into it (similar to a dart board). At the end of the time, count to see who has the most cards stuck into the watermelon.

Alternate: If you want the minute to win it party games to be a bit cleaner, or have younger participants consider using a bowl that you will need to toss the cards into.



Party Sucker

Objective: To race against others by sucking a straw to move skittles or m&ms from bowl to bowl.
Players: 2 or more
Materials: Skittles or M & M's, straws, 2 bowls per player

Rules: Players are given two bowls placed in front of them. Start with an equal amount of candies for each player in one of their bowls. Using only a straw, players suck into the straw picking up the smarties and try to transfer the candy into the empty bowl one by one. First one done, wins. If this proves to be too difficult, set a time limit and the player with the most candies transferred wins.



Penny Tower

Objective: To make the tallest tower made out of pennies
Materials: Lots of pennies

Rules: When the time starts, begin stacking your pennies with only using one hand. Whoever can make the tallest tower wins.



Ping Pong Battle

Objective: To bounce ping pong balls into a cup
Materials: Multiple ping pong balls, container for the ping pong balls, 6 cups per person

Rules: Set up the cups in a row that is evenly spaced. When the timer goes the participant will bounce their ping pong ball and try to have it land inside of the cup. The goal is to land a ping pong ball in each of the cups within a minute, Whoever is most successful wins.



Ping Pong Roll

Objective: To roll as many ping pong balls into a container
Materials: Counter or table, 2 containers, ping pong balls and tape

Rules: At one end of your table surface have a container that is filled with ping pong balls. At the other end of the table surface hanging off the edge is an empty container. When the timer begins, start rolling the ping pong balls down the table trying to have them land into the container. At the end of the time count how many balls are actually in the container. The player with the most wins this version of minute to win it party games.



Ping Pong Toss

Objective: To bounce as many ping pong balls into an egg carton
Materials: Multiple egg cartons, many ping pong balls, bowl

Rules: Tape together to form a large grid of egg cartons for the ping pong ball to land in. If you have egg cartons with a top, you may need to cut the top off of the egg cartons. Have the ping pong balls in some type of container or bowl. When the time begins, have the player bounce the ping pong balls one at a time to see how many they can land into the egg carton. When their time is up count to see how many each player landed. The player with the most ping pong balls in the egg cartons wins.



 Rice Clips

Objective: While blindfolded players try to find as many paper clips as they can in a bowl of rice.
Players: 3 or more
Materials: Rice, paper clips, bowls, blindfolds

Rules: This game is best played at a table, or a coffee table with players on their knees. Give each player a medium to large bowl filled halfway with uncooked rice. Place an even number of small paper clips in each bowl and mix them in. Blindfold each player. This is a good time for some house rules. No turning the bowl upside down, and no throwing the rice out in a mad scramble to find the clips. When everyone is ready, players must then with their hands try and pick out as many paper clips as they can. You can make this a timed event or wait until the first person finds them all for different minute to win it party games. When they do, they are the winner.



Snowman Stack

Objective: To stack a snowman out of large marshmallows
Materials: Large marshmallows, chopsticks

Rules: With one hand, use chopsticks to stack large marshmallows. You need to make your snowman at least 3 marshmallows high. How quickly can you accomplish this task?



Spoon it Up

Objective: To move ping pong balls with a spoon that is being held by your mouth
Materials: 2 bowls, 1 spoon and 6 ping pong balls per person

Rules: Put the ping pong balls into a bowl. So one bowl has ping pong balls and the other is empty. Place the spoon into your mouth, with the handle in. Then when the time starts try to move all of the ping pong balls to the other bowl with only using the spoon and your mouth. This is another one of the minute to win it party games  where you can not use your hands.



Tissue Pull

Objective: To pull out the most tissues in a minute
Materials: One box of tissues per participant

Rules: When the timer begins, start pulling out tissues. Pull them out as quickly as possible. At the end of the minute count to see how many were pulled out. Whoever pulls out the most wins.



Up and Away

Objective: To keep one or more balloons up in the air
Materials: Balloons

Rules: Depending on the age of participants, select one, two or three balloons that the player needs to keep up in the air at a time. They need to only tap the balloons with their hand to keep them suspended up in the air. No holding or balancing the balloon on their body in these minute to win it party games.



Water Pong

Objective: To blow a ping pong ball across three cups and stick the landing
Materials: 3 silo plastic cups, 1 ping pong ball

Rules: Fill 3 silo cups with water to the top, then line the cups up in a single line touching. When your time begins, place a ping pong ball on the first cup. Then try to blow the ping pong ball to the third cup and have it stay on the cup. If your ping pong ball falls off, get your ball and try again. You have one minute to complete this challenge.



Wrap Me Up - Minute To Win It Party Games

Objective: To wrap up your partner with a party streamer
Materials: One party streamer roll per couple

Rules: When the game begins you need to wrap your partner with a party streamer. You need to wrap the person fully with the full roll.
