Peter Rabbit Party Invitations
An invitation sets the stage for your party. There are so many ways that you can go for your Peter Rabbit Garden Party. If you want to create an invitation with a traditional twist you can use a saying below with images of rabbits, gardens, vegetables, or personalize with a picture of your little bunny.
- Hop over to celebrate ____’s birthday.
- The tale of _____. Please join us to celebrate ___’s birthday.
- Some Bunny is turning One, Two, Twelve, etc.
- Please join me to celebrate ____ at a garden party with Peter Rabbit and friends.
For a Peter Rabbit Baby Shower theme you could write a saying like… A Little Bunny is on it’s way.
I would think about using watercolors. There are great watercolor pencil crayons. That way it is like sketching with regular pencil crayons, but will end up looking like the original artwork from Beatrix Potter. I would also suggest looking at your font and creating something similar to calligraphy. Using a marker would help to add the thin and thicker parts of the writing theme.
If you are only inviting a few friends you could look at the Peter Rabbit Party Favors. Think about giving a favor with the invitation. This will add the excitement of the party right from when your guests are getting their invitation.
Peter Rabbit Party Supplies and Decorations
There is nothing more fun than decorating for a themed party. In my Peter Rabbit Party Ideas I decorated with the calming colors found in nature, soft blues, greens, yellows and oranges. Just make sure your colors aren’t “too matchy matchy”. - Orange napkins
- Green plates
- Green cutlery - wrapped up with the orange napkins to look like carrots
- Blue tablecloth
- Hanging colorful tissue flowers
- Benjamin’s Garden table display with a large tin watering can (mine is a purplish blue) and I set it in a grass like material and have a bunny peeking out wanting to join the party.
- Mylar balloons - sun and butterflies
- Peter Rabbit birthday banner
- Beatriz Rabbit posters
- Mr. McGregor’s Garden poster on the dining room doors (stating no rabbits allowed). Our dining room doors have the look of garden doors and then the space worked no matter the outside weather (if the garden gets rained or snowy) during the party.
- Set up all your party games and activities to be different areas of the garden.

Peter Rabbit Party Games and Activies
- Pin the Tail on the Rabbit - have a poster size of a rabbit and multiple colored bunny tails. Use a soft scarf for a blindfold. Spin the little “bunnies” a few times and have them pointed at the poster when they begin to walk. See where all the tails end up.
- Flatulent Elephants (elements are fabulous at your party) - Use a number of different coloured balloons. Each of your little “bunnies” needs to stomp or pop the coloured balloon that they have been assigned. The balloons can either be loose or taped to the floor in a line for your “bunnies” to stomp on. Ready, set, fluff.
- Garden Scavenger hunt - Look around your garden. What are some items that will be easy to find, and a few challenging ones as well. Some ideas… a leaf, stick, spider web, bug, ant, flower, bird, butterfly, tree, feather, bee, pinecone, and of course all types of things that grow in a vegetable garden.
-
- McGregor’s Obstacle Course - set up an obstacle course with hula hoops, hopping over pool noodles, ending with spraying something with a water gun or hitting something with a water balloon. It will be just like Peter and his friends racing away from Mr. McGregor in his garden.
- Nerf Target Practice - McGregor is out to get those rabbits, but he needs some practice. Set up a target area for your guests to take some shots. Go for different heights and points for the different scores.
- Carrot Bubble Time - Get some of the orange long bubbles and tie strings of ribbon or green tissue paper to the handle. Set up in a bucket or long basket to look like a group of fresh carrots.
- Make a Bird Feeder - Make sure you use items that are safe for a bird. Start with a pinecone and cover it with peanut butter. Then roll the peanut butter on a plate of bird seed. Hang with some twine from a tree hopefully close to a window, so you can enjoy seeing all the nature.
