Spongebob Party Invitations

  • To make your own SpongeBob invitations use yellow cardstock paper, cut circular holes (like the sponge) and add extra large googly eyes and a large smile with two teeth to the front side. On the back write something fun like “come to Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob and help celebrate my ___th birthday”. On the back side add Spongebob stickers and make sure to add the rest of your party information.
  • A humorous option for a Spongebob invitation for older guests would be to include a printed out birthday meme. Spongebob has said and done many iconic things that bring smiles to people, which would help set the tone for your party. Include a fun saying like “don’t be crabby, come celebrate at my party”.

Spongebob Party Decorations

  • Use the color theme yellow and blue
  • Make your party space look like you are in the different key areas in Bikini Bottom (Spongebob’s pineapple, the Krusty Krab, the Chum Bucket, Sandy’s tree dome, etc.)
  • Use blue cellophane on the ceiling and you will appear to be under water
  • Have a yellow and blue balloon arc
  • Spongebob and friends balloons
  • Masks of the Spongebob characters for party hats
  • Yellow tablecloth
  • Use Spongebob cups, plates, and napkins
  • Twisted green streamers on the walls with clear balloons to look like seaweed and bubbles
  • Jellyfish lanterns - pink lanterns with pink streamers attached
  • Have a wooden chest or sign for the Krusty Krab and a fish net
  • A white and red ring buoy saying “welcome to Bikini Bottom”
  • Cutouts of all the Spongebob characters
  • Have a map post pointing the way to lots of locations visited in the shows and movies
  • Have a sign that says “____ years later” for the age of the guest of honor

Spongebob Party Games and Activities

  • Mrs. Puff’s boating school - use a pool and have remote control boats inside. Have an obstacle course in water to learn their training. Then host a race with the boats. Will you pass the test in less tries than Spongebob?
  • Gary’s pineapple house race - crab race to Gary’s house (made out of a large cardboard box, or a painted version, etc.). When at Gary's house eat three pieces of pineapple and then crab race back to the finish line.
  • SpongeBob race - players must fill their buckets full of water using only a sponge.
  • Krusty Crab cookoff - make smores over a small fire. Roast marshmallows on a lone stick, and then squeeze them in between chocolate and graham crackers.
  • Squashing Squidward simple art craft - use white paper, fold the paper in half and then open the fold so the paper is flat. Blop different coloured paint in the middle area of the paper (not too much). Fold the paper again and smush the paint away from the fold. Open the paper and see the squished squid.
  • Pin the teeth or tie on SpongeBob - play like pin the tail on the donkey.
  • Catch a jellyfish - have helium balloons on ribbon ties around the yard and with a butterfly net, try to “catch” the jellyfish balloons
  • Guess the goldfish - have a jar of goldfish and have the players write their guess down on paper
  • Watch a Spongebob show or movie

Spongebob Party Food

  • Krusty Krab special - hamburger (Krabby patty) and french fries made by Spongebob
  • Pineapple
  • Kelp juice - green juice, like Gadorade
  • Fruit punch - freeze some gummy worms in the ice
  • Patrick Star watermelon - cut pieces of watermelon sing a cookie cutter
  • Plankton pretzels - large pretzel sticks dipped in green chocolate candy melts and an icing eye near the end. Place these in a metal bucket and say “chum bucket” on the side.
  • Mr. Krab’s money - chocolate coins
  • Plankton jello - make green jello and have it set in clear glasses for each guest
