Camp Rock Party Invitations

These are three great options for making your very own Camp rock party invitations:

  • Camp Rock brochure: make your own mini pamphlet just like the one Mitchie Torres has with your party information inviting them to your own “Camp Rock” or “Final Jam”. Start by folding a piece of black construction paper into thirds and use a silver sharpie pen to write information. Also, add glitter and hand drawn stars around the border.
  • Final Jam poster: create a handmade card sized “poster” advertising for your “Final Jam” event. Use glitter for the top words of “Final Jam” to make them pop. Have a countdown for the party guest to check off leading up to the event (for example at the bottom or down the side write 10, 9, 8, etc.). Draw guitars, microphones, and drums in the background.
  • Guitar theme: if your party guests love musical instruments, you could create a handmade guitar invitation. Start by tracing a simple outline of a guitar onto a piece of pink or purple construction paper. Then, cut a smaller guitar outline on a piece of white printer paper. Next, glue the two pieces of paper together and write your party information on top with a black marker.

Camp Rock Party Supplies & Decorations

  • Use a colour scheme of pink, purple, and a natural setting look
  • Hang pictures of stars, guitars, microphones, music notes and lots of glitter
  • Have on hand lots of instruments, speakers, and microphones. Rent some if necessary.
  • Set up a stage area - use a dark backdrop like a large bed sheet or you can get some really unique patterned sheets at hippy type stores. Think about adding a balloon arch as well. This would look amazing for your stage and also can be used for a photo booth. Make sure there are lots of props available
  • Set up a fire pit (remember your local fire safety codes and fire safety with water, sand, etc.)
  • Set up lots of seating
  • Pitch some tents for a camp out setting (sleeping bags and all)
  • Put up a "Welcome" banner
  • CD player (always have music going) Camp Rock or the Jonas Brothers
  • Inflatable Guitars and props for singing and photos
  • Lots of pink and purple streamers and balloons
  • Have rock star V.I.P. passes for each of your guests. Prior to the event, ask each guest to submit a picture of themselves, so that you can develop them and put them into lanyards. This way to enter the party, each guest needs to have a fun unique pass.

Camp Rock Birthday Party Games and Activities

  • Have a Sing Off. Host a talent show and make a music video of the performance
  • Karaoke (there is a Camp Rock karaoke CD)
  • Wii Disney Sing It
  • Have a dance
  • Name that Rock Tune! Camp Rock trivia or music trivia
  • Guitar Piñata
  • Scavenger hunt - this can be just a hunt for items or a more organized search where you need to solve clues to figure out where to go next
  • Nature walk
  • Watch Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2, High School Musical, etc.
  • Have a camp fire and roast marshmallows
  • Tell ghost stories around the camp fire
  • Decorate sunglasses with beads. Have bowls of different colors of beads and safely glue them to the front of a sunglass frame. These also work as great party favors for your guests to take home.
  • Decorate a record. Have a craft station with paint, markers, stickers, and glitter for each guest to design and decorate their own record. Then, if anyone wants, they can try and sing or dance the song of their decorated record.

Camp Party Food

Have Camp Rock food on your very own camp cookout. Make sure everyone is well fed!

  • Think of all the regular items that you would have at a traditional cookout: hotdogs and burgers, corn on the cob, home fries, salad and veggie tray
  • Chips and a full on candy bar with a pink and purple theme
  • Record and guitar shaped cookies
  • S’mores (roast marshmallow a smooch it between chocolate and graham crackers to make a sandwich). If you are unable to have a campfire or open flame you are able to make smores in an oven using a cookie sheet. place all your items and heat them up. Be careful to help cut between the smores before handing them out and warn your guests that they might be really hot on the inside. When handing them out place them into a piece of parchment paper so the gooey marshmallow does not stick.
  • Soda
  • Guitar shaped cake - make a slab cake of your choice of flavor. Once it has fully cooled cut the cake to look like the shape of a guitar. I would first draw it onto parchment paper and cut it out, then place it onto the cake before cutting the cake. Then apply a thin layer of icing (this will catch any crumbs). Cool the cake again. Have your icing all pre-made in the icing sleeves ready to pipe the icing onto the cake. I would first outline the cake details in a dark shade, then fill in the middle parts. If you want a section to look shiny in a small dish mix cornstarch and water. Dip your finger in (wearing a glove) and use your finger like a spatula. When pressing down the icing will form together and become more shiny. This would make your cake look more authentic if you are using a buttercream over a fondant icing.
